501 and Beyond

A Higher Things ® Youth Retreat

April 13-14, 2018

Hosted By:
Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca
3271 Sandy Beach Road Northeast
Solon, IA 52333

500 years of the Reformation have come and gone. Last year, we celebrated to 500 year anniversary of the Reformation with worship services, hymn sings, and maybe even a trip to Germany! Now, much of the excitement of this historic occasion is gone, and it’s back to the same old thing. Or is it? What does the Reformation have and mean for us 501 years later and beyond and what does any of this have to do with Jesus? Join us as we study what the Reformation has given us, what it means for us today, and what it means for our future post as individuals and as a church and how it all ties together in Christ and Him crucified for you!

Pastor Brett Simek is the pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Jerseyville, IL where he has served since 2015. He is a former HT CCV and housing coordinator and currently serves as catechesis coordinator. Pastor Simek is married and the proud father of two boys. He enjoys food, spending time with his family, golf, video games, and more food.
